Find out more about the newest additions to the Blackrock footwear range
Engineered to blend performance, comfort and style, the Tactical range is the newest addition to Blackrock footwear, designed particularly for people whose roles mean a safety toe cap is either not required or not permitted. For over two years we’ve worked in conjunction with the emergency services, transport, postal and security sectors to develop products that are lightweight, metal-free (scanner safe), anti-static and have two critical additional features:
For industries or divisions where a toe cap is permitted or required, we’ve added two styles that feature a metal-free (scanner safe) toe cap. With modern styling, water resistant as a minimum and most waterproof, all products also feature Blackrock’s EaziStep padded insole: a breathable, lightweight PU/mesh for maximum comfort when you’re on your feet for long periods.
Certified to EN20347 O3 as a minimum
Certified to EN 20345 S3 as a minimum
Engineered to give outstanding grip far beyond standard slip ratings, HexaGrip is unique to Blackrock and certified by the UK government’s HSL laboratory with a 4-star GRIP rating. With a hexagonal rubber tread pattern that maximises the surface area for traction, a network of drainage channels that disperse water to maintain grip in the wet, heat resistance to 300°C and resistance to fuel oil, HexaGrip keeps you on your feet even in the toughest conditions.
"Hexagrip has been tested on a pedatron
- the machine used to test military footwear -
and even after one million steps it still achieved a slip rating in excess of SRC."
To find out how HexaGrip stands up to extreme use it was tested on the pedatron, a specialist stepping machine used to test the durability of military footwear. After one million continuous steps on the pedatron, HexaGrip still achieves a slip rating in excess of SRC, the highest slip rating found on standard footwear.
